Silver pin from a Medieval annular brooch, probably dating from c.12- 1400. The pin has a lozenge shaped cross section. It has a circular loop at the top which would have been around the brooch frame. There is a collar between the pin and the loop consisting of 2 small projections. This pin was found c. 20 years ago and as such should be considered under the old Treasure Trove legislation rather than the Treasure Act. Under that definition this item would not constitute Treasure as it is a single stray find, not deposited with the intent to recover.
