Surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum indicated an approximate gold content for the strip of 92-94%, with a silver content of 5-6%, the remainder being copper; it weighs 1.57 grams. The find consists of a length of narrow gold strip of triangular section with punched decoration of apex-to-apex triangles along the top ridge; it is broken at both ends; length, 32.5 mm.
