Copper alloy chape from an early early-medieval scabbard, probably of Frankish origin. It is cast in one piece and consists of a central vertical bar, D-shaped in cross-section, which ends at the top in a triangle with a pair of circles below, perhaps a stylised human face. Two lateral protrusions emerge from the centre of the bar and curve up and round to meet the corners of the triangle. Cast copper alloy 9th century Anglo-Saxon strap end. It is zoomorphic in form with decoration on the front, the back being plain. It cannot be narrowed down to a type as the central decorative panel is worn (the part used to classify thsi type of object). It is tear-drop shaped in plan, the narrow end being the nose and eyes of the animal. The wider end is a split end with 2 holes in to attach to the strap. Below the holes, before the central panel, is a crescent with a floral decoration inside.

Cast copper alloy Iron Age button and loop fastener, Wild Class II. Dated from the 1st century BC to the 1st century AD. This is a ring-headed type fastener and has a circular ring. The shank is broken just as it widens into the loop (which would probably have been sub-circular). It is bent at a 90 degree angle so that it lies roughly parallel to the ring.

Copper alloy La Tene III or Nauheim derivative type bow brooch dating from c.1st century BC to the 1st century AD. A simple one piece sprung brooch. It is mostly complete although some of the spring and the pin are missing, as is the catchplate. The brooch has a backwards curving hook which would have supported the spring. Cast copper alloy headstud bow brooch dating to from the Flavian period through to the late 2nd century AD. The headloop has broken away. The spring is missing and the case has squared ends. Above the headstud is a rectangular raised ribbed panel. The headstud has a ribbed edge. There appears to have been no enamel on the headstud or bow. The bow is quite thin and tapers to a globular foot. It is a very large example and so quite unusual. The catchplate is also very big for this type of brooch.
