Cu alloy harness pendant with some Cu alloy gilding. The harness is cast but is in 2 separate pieces. The frame has a suspension loop at the top which is complete but only 1/3 of the frame is present. It can generally be described as sub-circular or ovoid. Internally the shape of the frame seems to follow the shape of the fleur-de-lis leaving a 2mm gap. The second piece which is suspended from a perforated tab slotted into an groove in the frame. It is in the shape of a fleur-de-lis. It appears complete and has some gold gilt remaining.

Cast copper alloy shield shaped harness pendant from the 14th century. It has a circular attachment loop set perpendicular at the top of the pendant. The front is decorated with a central chevron and 3 fleur-de-lis, one below the chevron, the other 2 above, one on each side. The pendant would have been gilded, there is some remnants of this on the reverse. It is possible the front design could have been picked out in enamel but there is nothing left to show this.

Cast copper alloy circular medieval harness pendant. It is circular in plan with a circular suspension loop set perpendicular to the main body. It has a design on the front and is plain on the reverse. The design consists of 2 horizontal lines which are concave and would have held enamel. Above this are 3 circles which would also have been infilled with enamel. This design appears to match that of the Wake family crest. The enamel in the stripes and dots would have been red and the rest of the pendant would have been yellow. The Wake family first appear in Lincolnshire where they were…

Cast copper alloy Medieval harness pendant, 12-1400 AD. It is a shield shaped pendant with a circular attachment loop set perpendicular at the top. The loop is now broken. On the front is a lion rampant left. The field is filled in with red enamel. The lion could have filled in with another colour enamel but this is now missing and it is just the metal showing.
