Cast lead spindle whorl from the Medieval period, c.12-1400 AD. It is sub-circular in plan with a central circular hole and some of the edges are broken. It is biconical in form and has decoration on both faces. The decoration consists of raised lines radiating from the central hole.

A silver late Medieval coin; a double patard of Charles the Bold, Duke of Burgundy and Count of Flanders (1467-1477). Other coins of this type have been recorded on the database, e.g. SWYOR-214D75 In 1469 a monetary convention between Duke Charles and King Edward IV made the former’s coinage in the Low Countries legal tender in England. Cast copper alloy 'lyre shaped' strap-end from the medieval period. The plate is a hollow sub-rectangular box, widest at the base open end; there are 2 rivet holes close to the open end. The front of the plate is decorated with a letter, a large N; the back of the plate is plain. Above the letter there is a moulded collar and then the plate narrows before widening again where the openwork terminal starts. Copper alloy heraldic mount, dating to the Medieval period. Shield shaped with an owl depicted in red enamel. The owl is walking left with both feet visible. Owls are symbols of wisdom. It has a single stud on the reverse with a circular section, it is 7mm long and has a diameter of 3.71mm. 2 families are known to have an owl incorporated into their coat of arms- Massy of Aldford and Masye de Grafton et de Cestr'. It is possible this stud is from one of these families but this cannot be proved.

Cast lead brooch or mount, probably late Medieval- Post-Medieval in date. It is not complete, the edges having broken away leaving uneven edges. It would have been circular. There is a shield in the centre in relief. It has a cross which divides it into qaurters. In the top left quarter is a sword. The other quarters appear to be blank. There would have been writing around the edge, most of this is now lost but some remains. It reads- '+...RG...S...LE...D' Before the R is a 4 petalled flower.

Possible cast leaded copper alloy sword pommel from the Late- Medieval/Post-Medieval period. It is broadly cylindrical with a central hole running through, which has a diameter of 13.24mm. It stands 29mm high.The top consists of a moulded disc. The main body is decorated with 4 sections which make it sub-square. Each section has a 2 pronged foliate design which curve out slightly at the base to form feet. The sections are divided by a raised triangle. This object is very heavy to be a sword pommel but no clearer parallels can be drawn.
