Fragment of late Medieval- Post Medieval pottery which has a blob of lead on the inside.
It is a base sherd of a vessel made from a cream coloured fabric. There are traces of a darkish glaze on the outside bt it is quite abraded. The lead is on the inside and does not appear to be a pot mend as it is sat on the surface and does not go through the pot. It is odd, perhaps just an accidental spillage.
