Cast lead Medieval spindle whorl. It is circular in plan and is flat. It has a central circular hole and has raised decoration on both faces. The decoration is different on each face. On one side it consists of lines radiating out from the central hole to the edge. The other side appears to be three letters with a cross, although the letters are not clear.

Pottery spindle whorl, Roman- Medieval in date. The whorl has been formed from a piece of pottery cut from a vessek- probably when the vessel broke. It is circular in plan with a central circular perforation. It is flat on both sides with rounded edges. The fabric of the pottery is black on one side and brown/grey on the other. It is not clear if the black is the actual colour of the fabric or is due to wear/dirt. The fabric is smooth and has few inclusions. Lead Medieval spindle whorl. Complete circular spindle whorl which is biconical and has a central circular perforation, now filled with accretions from the river. It has decoration in relief on both sides which consists of lines radiating from the centre to the edge, splitting the area into five sections. Four of these have three dots, one has two, it appears this was a mistake and all sections were meant to be the same.
