Neolithic- Bronze Age flint scraper, c. 3500 BC - 800 BC. It is made from a pebble flint, and one face still has the cream coloured cortext remaining. In plan it is almost triangular, with a widened round end, narrowing towards a slightly pointed end. The bulb of percussion is at the narrowest end, with some conchoidal ripples visible. There is a large chip at the wider end which is due to plough damage. All around the widened edge, and part way down the long sides, re-touching is visible, where the edge has been worked to make it useable as a scraper. The flint is a orangey-bro…
