Copper alloy, gilded late Roman disc brooch with stone insets.
These pointed oval disc brooches are a Romano-British design and date to the late 3rd- 4th centuries.
This is an unusual example as it has insets around the edge of the typical central one.

It is conical, and hexagonal in plan, tapering towards the top to a perforation (now filled with mud) which would have acted as an atttachment loop. It appears plain with no decoration.

Cast copper alloy Medieval harness pendant with the hanger. It is a shield shaped pendant with red enamel on the front. In its current state, the arms on this piece are "[background unknown], two bars gules and in chief three torteaux [roundels gules]". There is a circular attachment loop at the top set perpendicular to the pendant. A bar would have gone through this loop to attach the pendant to the hanger.
