Cast lead Medieval spindle whorl. It is circular in plan and biconical with a central circular hole. It has cast decoration on both faces. One face has an abstract pattern of lines, possibly meant to represent letters but it does not form any words. The other face has two concentric rows of circular dots with a raised border.

Medieval lead spindle whorl. It is circular in plan with a central circular perforation (diameter of which is 9.85mm) and is biconical. Each face is decorated with cast, relief decoration. On one face this takes the form of a six pointed star, at each angle there is a straight line, then in each section created by these lines is a circular raised dot. The other face is split into five sections by lines radiating from the centre, in each section are three circular raised dots.

Pottery spindle whorl, Roman- Medieval in date. The whorl has been formed from a piece of pottery cut from a vessek- probably when the vessel broke. It is circular in plan with a central circular perforation. It is flat on both sides with rounded edges. The fabric of the pottery is black on one side and brown/grey on the other. It is not clear if the black is the actual colour of the fabric or is due to wear/dirt. The fabric is smooth and has few inclusions.
