Cast lead Medieval spindle whorl. It is circular in plan, and biconical with a central circular perforation. The decoration on both faces consists solely of lines, in relief. One face is split into sections by lines radiating from the centre, with two horizontal lines in each section. The other face is more abstract.

Lead Medieval spindle whorl. It is circular in plan, with a central circular hole. It is biconical with decoration in relief on both faces with the same decoration. This consists of triangles around the central hole, inside of each is a dot. The outer edge is decorated with a border of two lines running round the edge, connected by a series of small lines.

Lead Medieval spindle whorl. Circular in plan with a central circular perforation. It is biconical with cast decoration on both faces. One side has diagonal lines from the centre to the edge, creating triangular cells, inside of each of which there is a circular pellet. The other side is slightly less clear, almost looking like a repeating pattern of VIVIVI all the way around. There are examples of spindle whorls with writing and pseudo-writing on, this could be another one.

It has raised decoration on both faces, which appears to be the same. It consists of lines radiating from the centre, splitting the surface into 6 sections, these sections then have raised circular dots, between 3 and 5.

Pottery spindle whorl, Roman- Medieval in date. The whorl has been formed from a piece of pottery cut from a vessek- probably when the vessel broke. It is circular in plan with a central circular perforation. It is flat on both sides with rounded edges. The fabric of the pottery is black on one side and brown/grey on the other. It is not clear if the black is the actual colour of the fabric or is due to wear/dirt. The fabric is smooth and has few inclusions. Medieval lead spindle whorl. It is circular in plan with a central circular perforation (diameter of which is 9.85mm) and is biconical. Each face is decorated with cast, relief decoration. On one face this takes the form of a six pointed star, at each angle there is a straight line, then in each section created by these lines is a circular raised dot. The other face is split into five sections by lines radiating from the centre, in each section are three circular raised dots.
