Cast copper alloy Roman penannular brooch, a Fowler Type A3, dating to c.100- 350 AD.
The brooch itself is complete, although the pin is broken. The brooch has been squashed out of shape, probably whilst in the ground. It has golbular terminals, each with a single moulded collar. One of the terminals appears to have an extra bit of metal, it could be a mis-cast which was not cleaned up. The pin was formed by a strip of wire folded over the brooch, the loop remains but it has broken before it extends to the pin.

Copper alloy possible contemporary copy of a Claudius as or dupondius, c. 41-54 AD. Boon, pl.III, c.f.38 Finders ref- 9
Robert Kenyon, following on from the work by the French scholars P-A. Besombes and M. Bompaire (in Trésors Monétaires XXI, 2005), is working through the British examples of Claudian coinage recorded through the PAS assigning many so-called Claudian contemporary copies to Roman auxiliary mints which operated at Lyons (Gaul) and in Spain. This example could not be attributed to a mint.

Copper alloy Roman peltate chape, dating from the 2nd-3rd centuries AD.
It has been cast in one. It is complete with the front and back plate being identical. The design is peltate shape with two openwork petae on the face. The chape has been squahed slightly and so the top edges are nearly touching and one arm has a crack in.
Similar examples were found at Housesteads and South Shields Roman forts and these items are usually related to military activity.
This is an identical parallel in an example from Caerleon (Chapman, 2005: p. 14, no. Bb01; Bishop and Coulston, 1993: fig.…

11 pieces of Roman grey ware. Most are body sherds.
The sherds can be grouped to represent possibly 7 individual pots.
A pot sherd of fine grained Buff/pale grey fabric with a wall thickness of 5mm turning at a basal angle of approximately 45 degrees to a base 10mm thick. There are shallow grooves scored into the internal surface. It is possible that this fragment could be Crambeck parchment ware in the form of a shallow sided dish form 2 as per Corder 1937.
A river worn pottery sherd 8mm thick pale grey on the surface and sandy coloured fine grained fabric.

Cast copper alloy Roman decorative fitting, probably harness, of Taylor and Brailsford (1985) Type 3. It would have been lozenge shape in plan when complete. It is incomplete having missing the lower quarter. The two side quarters are taken up by the hollow circular domes which have a groove around their bases. The two domes are linked by a small rectangular section. The upper and lower quarters have a triangular perforation before a triangular domed section which is also hollow on the reverse. The lower of these has broken off.
It is comparable to an example illustrated in Taylor …

Copper alloy cast Roman terret, probably a pole-mounted and knobbed type dating to the 1st- 2nd century AD.
The loop is circular with three knobs, one at the top and one on each side. The two side knobs have been worn down. The loop itself is also worn through at one point, most likely from use. The loop has a rounded section below, which was decorated with two transverse grooves (now almost worn away) which then narrows to a rectangular sectioned, thinner terminal. This presumably would have been where it attached to the cart or chariot.
