Cast copper alloy and enamelled trumpet brooch dating from c.75-175AD The head is hollow on the reverse where the spring mechanism would have sat. The hook to hold the spring in remains. The bow is flat on the reverse and has broken off just below the central acanthus moulding. There is a central raised line running from the head all the way down the bow. It is decorated on the head and bow with enamelled cells which are symmetrical on each side.
