Copper alloy ring, probably a finger ring, Roman in date. It is formed by a thick, circular cross-sectioned copper aloly wire being curled round into two rows with slightly rounded terminals. Both terminals also have cross-hatched decoration, similar to the more delicate copper and silver Roman snake finger rings. Although this seems very large for a finge ring, there are some similar examples on the PAS database. A similar ring formed from a single turn can be seen in Lindsay Allason-Jones and Roger Miket's 'Catalogue of small finds from South Shields Roman fort,' 1984: pp 125-…

Copper tin alloy Roman finger ring, It has a raised circular bezel which is decorated with grooved lines forming a grid. The shoulders are slightly keeled and are decorated with a grooved triangle pointing away from the bezel on each side. The hoop narrows in width away from the shoulders but thickens on the other axis. The precious metal content of the find is below 10% and therefore it falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.

Cast copper alloy Roman finger ring, 2nd- 3rd century in date. It is complete and has a circular raised bezel. This is plain with no decoration. The shoulders are slightly angular and with a grooved triangle with the point facing away from the bezel and regular grooves on both edges. The hoop away from the bezel and shoulders is sub-circular in cross section and thicker at the bottom.

Cast copper alloy Roman finger ring, 2nd century in date. It is a simple design with a thin hoop which widens at the bezel. It is a flat bezel with three raised vertical lines with a raised almost complete circle around them.
