Cast copper alloy Roman penannular brooch, a Fowler Type A3, dating to c.100- 350 AD. The brooch itself is complete, although the pin is broken. The brooch has been squashed out of shape, probably whilst in the ground. It has golbular terminals, each with a single moulded collar. One of the terminals appears to have an extra bit of metal, it could be a mis-cast which was not cleaned up. Cast copper alloy fragment of a late Roman belt fitting of some sort. It is incomplete and so is difficult to tell exactly what it was part of. It has uneven broken edges on all four sides. The reverse is plain, on the front is a pattern of ring and dot motifs, seemingly running in diagonal lines, but they are not that uniform, and as only part of the piece remains it is difficult to define the exact pattern. At one end there is a slightly curved section, which projects upwards, perhaps the start of a catch or attachment loop.

The head is the usual trumpet shape although it is quite thin. The bow has a circular cross section and widens towards the moulding at the waist, the moulding is a large raised curved ridge, with a smaller line above and below.
