Copper tin alloy Roman finger ring, It has a raised circular bezel which is decorated with grooved lines forming a grid. The shoulders are slightly keeled and are decorated with a grooved triangle pointing away from the bezel on each side. The hoop narrows in width away from the shoulders but thickens on the other axis. The precious metal content of the find is below 10% and therefore it falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.

Cast copper alloy Roman bell shaped stud. It is mostly complete with the remains of the iron shaft just visible at the top. The edges of the stud are worn and there is possibly some traces of gilding remaining. Lots of similar objects were found in South Shields Roman fort (Allason-Jones and Miket, 1984).

Cast copper alloy Roman toilet implement, 1st-2nd century in date. It has a broken loop at the top before a beaded collar. The stem is circular in section and narrows towards the end. It is bent half way down and the end could be broken although it is worn so difficult to tell. This would probably have been part of a set hanging from a chatelaine with other items.

Cast copper alloy Roman knife handle, probably from a toilet knife. It is in the form of a female figure, comprising the torso down to the waist. She is facing forward and all the detail seems to have been cast integrally. The head is rounded but the body is flat on the reverse. The hair is quite like that on figurines of Diana with an elaborate arrangement and gathered into a kind of double-bow on top of the head. Copper alloy Roman peltate chape, dating from the 2nd-3rd centuries AD. It has been cast in one. It is complete with the front and back plate being identical. The design is peltate shape with two openwork petae on the face. The chape has been squahed slightly and so the top edges are nearly touching and one arm has a crack in. Similar examples were found at Housesteads and South Shields Roman forts and these items are usually related to military activity. The shoulders are slightly angular and with a grooved triangle with the point facing away from the bezel and regular grooves on both edges. The hoop away from the bezel and shoulders is sub-circular in cross section and thicker at the bottom.
