Large shield shaped lead weight, late Medieval- Post-Medieval in date.
It is most likely to be a trade weight. It has decoration in relief on the front and is flat on the reverse. The decoration consists of a raised shield shape leaving a lower border. In this there is a central fleur-de-lis with a design above which is slightly unclear but could be a cross with longer horizontal arms than vertical ones.
It was too heavy for my scales whcih go up to 200g.

Cast copper alloy spout from a Medieval ewer.
Medieval copper alloy ewer spout, dating to the 15th century. It was cast separately from the rest of the vessel and soldered on via a long sloping seam.
The spout quickly tapers to become tubular with a moulded dogs head decoration on the spout terminal. The dog has slightly raised mounds for ears, its snout and eyes are represented by a concave depression with a sub-square spout protruding from its open mouth.
