Miniature terret fragment Fragment of a cast copper alloy miniature terret. This fragment consists of a short projection of rectangular-sectioned strap bar, separated from a small segment of the circular-sectioned terret ring by a disc-shaped terminal in a perpendicular plane. The edge of this disc is decorated with an incised line around the circumference. Strap fitting/ Mount Cast copper alloy strap fitting, broken on one side. This fitting takes the form of an open ring with openwork S-shaped scroll filling, flat in cross-section. The inward spirals of the S-shaped scroll are solid circles with circular indentations, now heavily worn, perhaps once designed to hold enamel. On one side of the scroll-work, the outer ring has broken away. A rectangular strap bar is attached to the reverse of the scroll-work, at the centre of the circular fitting. Copper alloy head of a Roman trumpet brooch, dating to c. 75- 175 AD. It is a large, and slightly unusual variety and unfortunately is quite corroded. It is a sprung type, with huge coils, four complete and two which are broken. The wire then threads through the coils. The central broken coil would have extended to the pin but that is now gone. Cast copper alloy strap fitting, probably a strap junction, from the Post Medieval period. It is circular in plan (37.511m x 32.37mm) and slightly domed. . The upper surface is decorated by four sets of curved lines, in pairs, coming from the centre of the fitting, to the edge. There are also two circular perforations, one of which is now filled up with corrosion. It has two prongs on the reverse, which are quite 6.90mm wide, project 9.12mm down, and are sub-triangular in plan. These probably fitted onto the strap, or another plate.

Powder was most likely scooped into the top box section before pouring. The shaft may have been to fit it into something or to stand it up.

Medieval lead pilgrims ampulla, dating to c. 1350- 1530. It is flask shaped in plan, as with most ampullae it is fairly flat, although the neck of this example is open. It would have had 2 handles, one on each side but one has broken off. The remaining example shows they were triangular, and placed at the base of the neck. A casting seam can be seen along both edges of the ampulla. One side of the rounded lower half is decorated with a central shield, with its border raised. It is mostly complete but the blade is slightly broken and the handle has broken and is missing just the very end, and the butt. It has a single small side-loop, which measures 22.96mm in length. The blade has uneven edges, and is corroded, with pitting on the surface, it appears to be missing the cutting edge. Roman copper alloy expanding bracelet made of a single piece of circular sectioned wire, 3rd century in date. The ends of the wire are overlapped and then each is wrapped around the main loop of the bracelet giving an adjustable catch. The ends taper from the point they start being wrapped around, one end is wrapped around five times, the other three. It is slightly out of shape, measuring 93.54mm x 76.56mm in diameter. Crummy (1983) illustrates a very similar bracelet (page 39 no.1601) from a third century context in Colchester.

Flint barbed and tanged arrowhead with one of the two barbs, and possibly the end of the tang having broken off in antiquity.
