Cast copper alloy miniature axe dating from the late Iron Age through to the Roman period. It is a socketed type axe with a wide blade and a thin square neck measuring 6mm across. The socket is sub-square in section with moulding around the opening and a loop at the top. It is solid all the way through. The moulding at the neck consists of two grooved lines running parallel to each other. The body and blade of the axe flare outward from the socket to a fan-shaped blade. The handle is slightly curved and the blade is not symmetrical. This could be to do with wear/damage rather than …

Cast copper alloy Iron Age/Roman anthropomorphic vessel mount. It consists of a human head at the top of a slightly curved linear section (meant to represent the body). Copper alloy La Tene III type bow brooch dating to 1st century BC- 1st century AD. A one-piece early bow brooch. It is mostly complete although the pin has broken just before the end and the catchplate is missing its hooked end. There are three turns in the spring, the wire looping below the spring to form the last loop. The bow is flat in profile, extending out from the head at 90 degrees then going straight down to the catchplate. It narrows towards a point at the foot then the thin, rectangular catchplate extends out at 90 degrees behind the bow.

Cast copper alloy Late Iron Age/Roman tankard handle. Originally this would have been a pointed oval in plan but one end has broken off before the point. It is curved when viewed from the side as the ends would have touched the attachment plates and the handle curved outwards from this to form a space. It has been silvered/tinned on the outer face, most of which remains. It is also decorated with parallel grooved lines which follow the shape of the handle. The edges are slightly uneven and worn with green patches showing through. The reverse has no decoration but some wear and…

Fragment of a copper alloy Iron Age bracelet. It is broken at both ends, presumably the rest of the bracelet would have been the same design. The section remaining is made up of four 'beads' connected by narrower sections. The bracelet is hollow in the centre and has been cast in one. Each bead is slightly different in size. The beads have decoration on the outer surfaces in the form of lines, raised, running the circumference of them. The surface is uneven due to corrosion and is a dark green colour.

Copper alloy sheet fragment Semi-circular fragment of copper-alloy sheet. The curved edge appears to be original, but the straighter edge is broken. The presence of iron corrosion hints at the possibility that this could once have formed part of a chain mail fastener or fitting, but it is impossible to ascertain its function with certainty.
