Cast copper alloy fragment of a Roman figurine of Jupiter holding a lightning bolt in his right hand. Only the arm and lightning bolt remains. The arm is broken just before the shoulder and the break is worn so suggesting it occurred in antiquity. The hand is clasped round the lightning bolt which is formed by a twisted cylinder with pointed ends, it is 40.2mm in length. The arm shows the muscles in both the upper and lower arm. The patina is uneven with a mainly green surface but with some brown patches and slight pittting from corrosion.

A fragment of a silver finger ring which is almost completely flattened. Both ends are broken and are uneven. It is plain on the inside with incised decoration on the outside. This consists of a line at the top and the bottom, with a floral/vegetal motif in the centre. It could be that the rest of the ring would have had an inscription on but this is now missing. A silver sheet spoon bowl. It is circular in plan, the handle base extends from one edge but only a small section remains. This may have been where the bowl attached to a more solid handle. The bowl is slightly damaged with the edges being a little uneven and there being some dents in the sides.

Lead Post Medieval sack seal. It has not been used as the two discs have not been folded onto each other. There is a complete circular disc and a disc with a central hole which would have fitted onto the stud on the complete disc. This disc has a shield in relief which has fleur-de-lis in the quarters which can be seen.

I have examined a group of 16 coins reported found at Stapleford, Lincolnshire All of the coins are silver and 14 of them are official English coins, which will therefore be of the traditional sterling standard, over 90% fine metal. Two of the coins are foreign in origin, but are of types found in English contexts quite frequently in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. Gold finger ring, probably of Roman date. The hoop consists of a narrow band, slightly elliptical in section. The ovoid bezel, which has been soldered onto the hoop, consists of an outer decorative band of beaded wire which surrounds a box setting for stone, now missing. The setting is crushed and damaged and the hoop bent and distorted. Discussion: the ring is probably of Roman date, although this is not certain. A fragment of a late medieval signet ring. Most of the hoop is lost, but the bezel remains. It is oval and contains the device of a merchant's mark. The ring fragment is silver-gilt and dates from the sixteenth century. Dimensions: length 21 mm, width 8 mm. A gold Medieval finger-ring, with a circular bezel set with a purple stone. The wire hoop is undecorated and has a circular cross-section. There is a small crack in the hoop but it has not broken and is complete. A very similar example was found and reported in 2004- 2004-T377. Probably 13th century Weighing 0.8g . Diameter of hoop 19mm. The age and precious metal content of this item therefore qualify it as treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.

Silver annular medieval brooch. It is complete with the pin still attached. The hoop is circular in plan as well as in cross section. It has eight lozenge-shaped plates attached onto the front of the hoop. These are decorated with punch decoration, with two designs in an alternate pattern.
