A cast silver toothpick/ earscoop with sickle shaped pick emerging from the body of a stylised dragon. The pick is slightly bent so it is no longer flush with the body of the implement. Cast copper alloy Roman toilet implement, 1st-2nd century in date.
It has a broken loop at the top before a beaded collar. The stem is circular in section and narrows towards the end. It is bent half way down and the end could be broken although it is worn so difficult to tell. This would probably have been part of a set hanging from a chatelaine with other items.

Cast copper alloy Late Medieval- Post Medieval toilet implement.
It has a rounded scoop on one end and a flattened double pronged end (presumably for a nail cleaner) at the other. The shaft is bent slightly before the scoop and there is a small groove just before. The shaft is circular in section.
The item has a reddish-brown patina.
Although many of these types of item are Roman the patina and style of this example suggests a Late Medieval- Post Medieval date. A similar example has been recorded on the database as YORYM-O271BO.
