It is conical in shape with a rounded top and slightly irregular. The flat edge is the upper face and this has a central depression- possibly where an attachment loop once was. The surface is irregular all over due either to corrosion or poor casting of the weight.

The base is flat but there is a concave rectangular slot underneath. It is thought this sort of weight was used for fishing but they could have many purposes.

It is missing the handle but otherwise is complete and unusually for this type of object has not been squashed flat and so still retains its original shape. It has a bulbous lower half with a flat base. It then narrows to a thin circular-sectioned neck. The base of the handle still remains at the junction with the neck and the lower half. There is some damage on the surface in the form of dents.
It is decorated on the lower half with vertical raised lines. These stop at the junction with the neck and there are two horizontal raised lines with some decoration in between these two.
The neck has a diameter of 17.81mm and the base is 31.66mm. The neck appears to be plugged with mud.
