Two iron nails of uncertain date. The shafts have rectangular cross-sections and narrow away from the head, they are both broken before the terminals. The heads are both broken on most edges but it seems they would have been square/rectangular in plan originally. Length of shafts- 45.6mm and 39.92mm, width of heads- 30.25mm and 33.27mm

It is possible that this object might have originally had a copper alloy exterior, but there is no trace of this now. Parallels: It is impossible to be certain of the date or function of this object. There are no parallels from the related 1843 hoard. Measurements: Thickness: 10.5mm; diameter: 19.4mm; weight: 7.2g
