Broken flint blade, possibly a Mesolithic knife. It is sub-rectangular in plan with one broken edge where it has snapped. It is made from a toffee-coloured flint with some darker brown and lighter orange patches.The front face (as the photograph) has a large flake taken from the centre running top to bottom with a smaller one either side. At the top is a small fragment of cortext surface, the bulb of percussion is also at this end. A group of 8 small flint flakes, possibly Mesolithic in date. Ranging in size from 20.25mm x 10.27mm to 27.23mm x 16.45mm with a group weight of 13.2g. It is difficult to date flint precisely when it has been found out of context as a stray find, so a cautious date has been assigned to these. Their size suggested to Dr. Young that they could be Mesolithic.

A group of 5 small flint blades, possibly Mesolithic in date. They are all sub-rectangular in plan and have broken at either one or both ends. It is possible they are Mesolithic microliths. Ranging in size from 39.78mm x 10.22mm to 18.41mm x 12.81mm with a group weight of 7.0g. It is difficult to date flint precisely when it has been found out of context as a stray find, so a cautious date has been assigned to these. Their size suggested to Dr. Young that they could be Mesolithic.
