Cast copper alloy strap end dating to the 9-11th centuries. It is a Thomas Class B Type 4, multi-headed type. Thomas describes Class B strap ends as having a split end and a zoomorphic terminal. The strap end appears complete, with decoration in relief on the front and a flat plain reverse. It has been silvered on the surface. The decoration consists of an animal head terminal above which is another animal head with the back of the heads meeting. This second head then touches noses with another identical animal head. Above this third head is the split terminal which is free from decoration.

The terminals of the loop are zoomorphic in form with the strap bar connecting two heads of animals. These are stylised animals seen on various objects from this period and could be dogs/dragons/dolphins, it is difficult to see. They have a rounded head with inset eyes and an elongated snout. The strap bar is worn and very narrow at one point, the pin is missing. The buckle has an even patina of reddish-brown.

The zoomorphic terminal consists of an animal head, with the nose and ears picked out in relief. At the split end there are two circular holes for rivets to attach the strap end, these rivets are now missing.

An incomplete copper-alloy bell of Early-Medieval date. Most of the bell chamber survives with just the bottom edges being uneven due to breaks. It is faceted and tapers towards the top, where there should be a loop but this is now missing. The artefact is heavily corroded. A similar bell was found at Meols, Cheshire (Griffiths et al 2007: 69/pl. 75, no. 390). They are increasingly thought to be characteristic of the Danelaw in the 10th century (for further discussion, see Griffiths et al 69-70).
