Cast copper alloy fragment of a ramrod terminal pipe from a Post Medieval musket, pistol or other gun.
It is linear in plan, almost a thin pointed oval. Both ends are broken. The right-hand terminal (in the photograph) narrows almost to a point and where it begins to narrow it also curves slightly. The left hand terminal (in the photograph) is broken before it narrows so much. It has a rectangular cross-section and each face is flat and plain with no decoration.
It has a mainly green patina with some patches of lighter green from corrosion. There is also one orangey patch due to…
