Cast copper alloy and enamel, Late Iron Age/ Roman belt slide. It is lozenge shaped in plan with an openwork design. The outer edge is decorated with a single row of red enamelled dots, some of which are missing the enamel. The central section looks like a 'swash-N' (as described by Macgregor, 1976) which consists of a 4-armed motif with each arm meeting a corner of the lozenge. In the centre are two raised pointed ovals as decoration. The arms which run from top left to bottom right are longer and wider than the other two as the motif is twisted and they have further decor…

Copper alloy and enamel cast-cell stud from the late Iron Age- early Roman period. It is circular in plan, flat on the top (enamelled face) and curved on the base. The base is plain and shows no obvious traces of attachment or remains of a stud. The front is split into three rows of three cells by raised lines of copper alloy. This gives a chequerboard pattern. The cells are filled with enamel, alternating red and yellow. Chequerboard enamelling can be seen on other Iron Age objects such as harness equipment, for example two linch pins recorded on the PAS database as WMID-947693…

Cast copper alloy Late Iron Age- early Roman cosmetic mortar of end-looped type. It has a crescent shaped bow that is U-shaped in section with one pointed terminal end and an incomplete looped terminal at the other. It is from a set which would have seen the pestle fitting into the mortar. On the interior surface is a central groove that is pointed-oval shaped in plan. The end without the loop has a slight narrowing to form a neck before the rounded point at the end. At the looped terminal end the bow curves slightly outwards to form the loop, this is not complete. The loop would have…
