Cast copper alloy Roman penannular brooch, a Fowler Type A3, dating to c.100- 350 AD.
The brooch itself is complete, although the pin is broken. The brooch has been squashed out of shape, probably whilst in the ground. It has golbular terminals, each with a single moulded collar. One of the terminals appears to have an extra bit of metal, it could be a mis-cast which was not cleaned up. The pin was formed by a strip of wire folded over the brooch, the loop remains but it has broken before it extends to the pin.

Copper alloy decorative mount, late Medieval to Post Medieval in date.

Copper alloy pendant, probably Iron Age- Roman in date
In plan it is lozenge shape with a spherical knop at each corner. The top knop has a central hole, presumably for suspension. It is open in the centre with the four arms connecting the knops being slim and cylindrical. Although it is simple and plain, the patina suggests an Iron Age- Roman date. It also bears similarities to other items of this date, such as the strap slides with domes on the front etc.
A direct parallel has not been found so far but two similar objects have been recorded on the PAS database as LE…

Cast copper alloy and enamel, Late Iron Age/ Roman belt slide.
It is lozenge shaped in plan with an openwork design. The outer edge is decorated with a single row of red enamelled dots, some of which are missing the enamel. The central section looks like a 'swash-N' (as described by Macgregor, 1976) which consists of a 4-armed motif with each arm meeting a corner of the lozenge. In the centre are two raised pointed ovals as decoration. The arms which run from top left to bottom right are longer and wider than the other two as the motif is twisted and they have further decor…
