The obverse is two lines of writing 'WXC/ ZK', surrounded by a border of pellets. the reverse is a square shield with a cross in the centre, it is very worn and not clear. A bale seal is different to a cloth seal, it is put on the outside of a bale of cloth or other merchandise, usually on string. This seal was found in the same field as 6 others.

Lead cloth seal, 17th century in date. It is a four-piece seal, mostly complete. Only two faces retain the stamps, those on the large circles (the inner discs). The connecting strip is still attached at the end, as it was folded in half. The stamps consist of the arms of Britain on one face, slightly off-struck. On the other side is 'CAR/SAY/166...'. This refers to the fact it was a seal on kersey cloth, this was made in various places in England, Yorkshire being one of those. Unfotunately the last year of this seals date is missing. Lead Post Medieval sack seal. It is circular in plan with raised designs on both faces and a raised border. One face has the letters 'SVR' but the rest is missing, this may be the name of the manufacturer or supplier. The other face has a wiggly line. There are two holes running through the seal, these would have allowed the seal to be fastened to the sack.
