Cast copper alloy part of a Roman bow brooch, 2nd century in date. It is incomplete, with the bow having broken before the foot, the headloop mostly missing and the pin broken. It is a hinged example and the top of the pin still remains, hinged on the axis bar enclosed inside the wings.
