Small flint flake from the prehistoric period, Meolithic- Neolithic.
It is made from a white flint with a greyish centre. It is sub-rectangular in plan with an indent on each side at the same level and uneven edges all around. There is a ridge which runs the length of the flake. This is probably a piece in the process of being worked into a tool which did not continue.

Left- Sub-triangular in plan, all the corners are rounded. There is some possible retouch along the edges. This is a blade, probably late Mesolithic in date.
Middle- Irregular shaped fragment with one rounded edge. This is most likely to be a flake of early Neolithic date.
Right- Late Mesolithic blade, the upper end is pointed and has been retouched on both sides of this point. There is a median ridge running the length of the blade.
