Surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum indicated an approximate gold content for the strip of 92-94%, with a silver content of 5-6%, the remainder being copper; it weighs 1.57 grams. The find consists of a length of narrow gold strip of triangular section with punched decoration of apex-to-apex triangles along the top ridge; it is broken at both ends; length, 32.5 mm. Cast copper alloy Early Medieval buckle dating to c. 900- 1100 AD. It is D-shaped in plan with a narrowed strap bar. The terminals of the loop are zoomorphic in form with the strap bar connecting two heads of animals, their mouths are open, almost as though they are biting the bar. These are stylised animals seen on various objects from this period and could be dogs/dragons/dolphins, it is difficult to see. They have a rounded head with inset eyes and an elongated snout. Cast copper Anglo-Saxon strap end, Thomas type A1, Trewhiddle Style, dating to c. 800-1000 AD. The strap end tapers towards a zoomorphic terminal. It is almost complete with only one half of the split end missing. The half that remains has rounded corners and two circular holes, both of which have raised borders, where it would have attached to the strap. Copper alloy tweezers on a circular ring, probably Early Medieval in date, c. 600- 1100 AD. The ring is plain and appears to have been cast, it has a circular cross section. The diameter of the ring is 21.63mm with a thickness of 2.66mm. The tweezers themselves are symmetrical and have been attached to the ring by folding in half, over the ring. They have a D-shaped cross section, with the flat side facing inwards, most of the way down, until they being to widen, and flatten out at the terminals. Cast copper alloy bow of an Early-Medieval key, c.900-1100. The bow would have been sub-circular in plan but large sections of it are missing. It had an openwork design and small rounded knops on the outer edge, only one of which now remains. The actual design of the openwork is not clear due to breaks but there is a circular hole below the one remaining knop.

Cast copper alloy Early Medieval key, dating from the pre-conquest period up to c.1200. It is incomplete, the bow being broken. It would have been oval in shape but more than half is missing. It meets the stem in a point with a broken internal element suggesting the bow may have been openwork. Anglo-Saxon pin, balloon headed in shape, 8-9th century in date. The pin appears complete with the shaft tapering to a point, although it is slightly bent. There is a small raised collar where the shaft meets the head. The head is globular with circles punched in around the edge.
