Copper alloy fragment of casting waste, possibly a failed casting of a Roman bow brooch. It is irregular in shape with a widened triangular section at the top, leading to a narrowed middle section which then widens slightly at the terminal. It has a slight bend when viewed from the side and this, along with the widened top (which could represent wings) suggests it could be a failed casting of a Roman bow brooch. The surface is uneven and pitted all over.
