A Post Medieval lead alloy musket ball dating from c. AD 1600 to 1800. The musket ball is 'banded' i.e. it is flattened in a band around the circumference. There are pronounced linear striations at right angles to the band, probably caused as the ball travelled down the gun barrel. The surface is smooth and the patina is whitish- grey in colour.
