A Post-medieval lead cloth seal. It is a two disc seal, with a looped connecting strip. The diameters of the two discs are 14.46mm for disc one, and 15.99mm for disc 2. The overal length is 22.8mm and the cloth seal weighs 5.64g. Both discs are stamped, but the detail has been lost. It is possible that, on the larger disc, the curved lines may be all that's left of the arms of Colchester, and on the smaller disc traces of two coronets can be determined. (Egan 1995, no.23 ff)

A cast copper alloy Post-Medieval trade weight. It is circular, 14.41mm in diameter, 2.6mm in thickness and weighs 3.10g, which equates to 1/8th of an ounce. There is a small circle stamped at the centre of the upper surface, 2.85mm in diameter. There are two more stamps, including the ewer mark of the London Founders company and a shield, divided into four with a sword in the upper left quadrant. This shield mark is part of the royal cypher, but in the absence of an initial to suggest a monarch, it would suggest that this weight belongs to the Commonwealth period, 1649-1660 AD.
