A copper alloy Medieval annular brooch fragment. It consists of about half of the brooch, with an ornate hoop and four collets evenly spaced. The hoop has a flat back, and the upper surface is decorated with panels between the collets having four perforations arranged in a square. At the centre of each panel, on the outside edge, there is a rounded knop flanked by two short bars, the effect of which produces a frilled edge. An Early Medieval copper alloy florid cruciform brooch fragment. It is part of a side knob, and consists of a curved terminal, with an asymetric shape. With the terminal pointing downward, the upper part is rectangular, and has relief decoration in the form of a face mask, showing a pair of flaring eyebrows with pellet eyes beneath, a triangular nose in the centre, and two more pellets in a row below the nose. A copper alloy Roman brooch. It is a Colchester derivative double lug type, with the lugs, coil and pin missing. The wing case is semi-cylindrical but the edges are worn, incomplete and corroded. The bow is D-shaped in section with some faceting, and a flat back. There may be some moulding on the upper bow, but again, the surface is worn and corroded. A small part of the catch-plate can be determined at the foot of the brooch. It measures 23.97mm in width across the wings and is 41.66 mm in length. The brooch weighs 9.03g

It is a near-complete Colchester derivative double lug type with wings, spring coil, bow and catch plate in tact and only the lower part of the pin missing, due to old breaks. The wings are semi circular with no apparent moulding, although patination of themetal and corrosion product both obscure the surface. A copper alloy medieval annular brooch frame. The frame is faceted and has a constriction for a pin which is in situ. The pin has a ridged collar, and there are further ridges along its length which may have been formed deliberately. The poor quality of the metalwork generally, however, makes this uncertain. The pin tip is sharp and curves upward slightly where it meets the edge of the frame. The brooch measures 18.46mm in external diameter and is 2.87mm in width. It weighs 2.15g.

A copper alloy Roman brooch, Colchester derivative with rear hook type. Part of the semi-cylindrical wings survive along with the rearward facing hook and upper bow. The metalwork is corroded and the surfaces are pitted, obscuring any decoration apart from a suggestion of moulding on both wings. The brooch fragment measures 16.28mm in surviving width and is 27.42m in length. The bow has a flat back, and the brooch weighs 4.32g. A date range of 40-70 AD is suggested in Blagg et al, 2004, p.93, for this type of brooch.

The foot is triangular and narrows to the curving bow, having four transverse parallel grooves above it, and traces of two more grooves across the broken terminal The triangular foot is decorated with small ring and dot motifs, roughly outlining the foot and with a further motif in the centre. the object measures 24.43mm in surviving length, and 11.88mm in width across the foot. The bow is 5.5mm in width and 3.45mm in thickness. The fragment weighs 2.79g.
