There is transverse moulding on the wings, and the circular headstud on the bow is decorated with a cruciform pattern creating cells to take enamel, now missing. The axis bar, spring, pin and chain-loop are missing. The upper bow is faceted with a circular profile and broadens out into the waist-moulding, below which the shape becomes cruciform. A copper alloy Roman bow brooch, Colchester derivative type. The lower part of the bow and catchplate have been bent out of shape. The wings are incomplete due to old breaks and appear semi-cylindrical with a mass of corrosion product obscuring them and the lug at the centre. The axis bar and pin are missing. The bow is D-shaped with a sharp triangular profile and central longitudinal ridge. There is some moulding down both sides. The catchplate is also incomplete due to breaks in antiquity. The brooch measures 41.43mm in length (distorted), 25.84mm in wdith across the wings and weighs 8.88g.

A copper alloy Early Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. it is complete except for its pin. The head has a full-round top knob sitting on a waisted stem attached to the head-plate which is rectangular. There are two narrow wings attached to either side of the central panel. The headplate measures 8.37mm in length and 10.97mm in width. A complete copper alloy Medieval annular brooch. It is an oval shape, having been bent through agricultural damage, and has almost split at one point. The frame is oval in section, and has two plain sections interspersed with two patterned area. These have a twisted impression, with grooved lines of small dots between the twists. The spring and pin are missing, as are the foot of the brooch and the catchplate, due to old breaks. There are two bands of transverse moulding cross the bow on either side of the central 'button'. The fragment measures 28.41mm in length and 9.99mm in width across the head. It weighs 4.4g. This brooch resembles one from London, Billingsgate, illustrated in Hattatt, no.437.
