Lead two-disc cloth seal with connecting loop bent back. One disc shows a portcullis stamp in the centre, with a border legend now unradable due to wear. It is 18.32mm in diameter and weighs 6.89g. The second disc is plain, and is 16.78mm in diameter.

Perforated lead spindle whorl, circular with central perforation, diameter 13mm. The outer diameter of the whorl is 30.15mm. There is a single notch or groove on the surface from the outer edge toward the central perforation. The whorl weighs 66.82g. The date range is wide because the form of these spindle whorls does not change over time.

A medieval lead seal matrix. It is a pointed oval in shape, 30.74mm in length and 15.30mm wide, weighing 8.77g. It is worn flat so that nothing of the inscription or decoration can be determined. The reverse is also plain and worn, with a small patch of applied lead near one pointed terminal, indicating the position of a loop handle now missing. It is similar in shape to a lead seal illustrated in Read, 1995,no 420 .

A medieval lead seal matrix. It is incomplete, broken around all edges, and worn. It is part of a non-heraldic personal pointed oval seal matrix. Of the inscription it is possible to read L ( ) W but no other letters can be determined. Part of a device which may represent a raised hand is present in the centre. The fragment is an irregular shape, 18.78mm by 18.02mm, and weighs 5.45g.

a Post-Medieval lead mount or stud. It is a solid circular dome-shaped object with a pattern of small raised dots around the rim, diameter 22.74mm. Five curved lines of relief decoration run fom the flattened top of the dome to the rim. The mount/stud is 12.29mm in height and weighs 19.12g. A short length of rivet projects from the centre of the base for 2.38mm.

A Post-Medieval lead cloth seal.It is 16.84mm in diameter and weighs 5.26g. It consists of two discs joined by a folded connecting strip forming a narrow loop. Both discs are plain, and one has the remains of a flattened rivet. The discs are both plain with no sign of stamps or marks.

A Post-Medieval cast lead button. It is circular and the front is covered with a background pattern of cross-hatching, with raised round dots positioned roughly into rows giving a cruciform impression. There is a single larger raised dot in the centre. The back is plain, with a casting mark dividing the button in two, and the remains of the shank of the loop. It is 25.44mm in diameter and weighs 15.6g.

a Post-Medieval cloth seal. It is composed of two discs joined by a loop. This is probably the connecting strip which joins discs two and three of a four-piece cloth seal. One disc is decorated with a gothic letter G , and is 12.99mm in diameter. The second disc is 13.44mm in diameter and has a shield with two chevrons. The central area of the shield is cracked and the design interrupted. The cloth seal has a length of 17.14mm and weighs 2.30g.

a late medieval or Post-Medieval lead trade weight. It is circular, flat and bent, showing signs of recent surface damage. One side has W stamped close to the edge, and I A below this. There are two small square stamps, each at 9mm from the circumference and on the diameter. The weight is 39.93mm in diameter, and weighs 55.59g. This suggests that this may be a two-ounce weight.

part of a medieval die from a seal matrix. It is flat and fragmentary, with not as much as a quadrant surviving. It has a curved outer edge which bears the legend RDIFI in mirror writing on one side. The reverse side also has a legend, which reads H O( or G) Y. It is 20.57mm in length and 16mm in width, weighing 2.90g.

part of a Post-Medieval lead cloth seal. It is the circular disc, disc one, with rivet on the reverse. It is worn with part of the edge missing, and has a central device, which could be circular or part of a shield outlined by a band of pellets underneath. Within this is a legend or initials reading i q underscored by a bar. On the rivet side there is an outline shield shape and no pattern within, surmounted by a rectangular bar divided into three squares, each with a dot in the centre. The seal diameter is 20.44mm, and the rivet 13.52mm. It weighs 7.63g.

A Medieval lead ampulla or holy water carrier. It is pouch-shaped, and cracked across a fold where the top half is bent over. The obverse shows a crowned initial W , with a single encircling line border, linking the ampulla to Walsingham. The reverse bears the allover pattern of the scallop shell design. The ampulla is 48.85mm in (unbent)length and 28.44mm wide. It weighs 26.82g. A similar ampulla from the Thetford area is illustrated in Mitchiner 1986, p138, no.397.

a fragmentary Medieval lead ampulla or holy water carrier. It is the lower part of a pouch-shaped ampulla, with one suspensory ring in tact, and only one side remaining. This is decorated with an outline six-foil in a single circle. The ampulla is 38.29mm in length and 35.99mm wide, weighing 34.31g. An example with a similar design, found near Thetford and probably made at Walsingham, is illustrated in Mitchiner 1986, p.145, no.410

a conical lead weight of unknown date. It has a roughly circular base 19.86mm in diameter, with a circular hole, 4.8mm, drilled centrally through. It is 12.94mm in height and weighs 26.13g. Weights of this type are hard to date, but could be medieval or later. A weight of similar type was found in a thirteenth century context in Norwich. They may have been used as fishing weights.

a medieval lead object. It is shield-shaped (rectangular with one short side having both corners cut to form a point) and measures 31.5mm along the short side and 43.95mm in length to the point. One face is flat and undecorated, whilst the other has a raised and indented pattern. The object is 7.1mm in thickness, and the edges are chamfered. With the point facing down there is a W or two intersecting Vs in the top half of the field. a lead plug, or pot mend for a ceramic vessel. On one side is a flat irregular oval surface, measuring 27.87mm by 22.35mm. On the other side is a smaller oval plug 18.78mm by 14.73mm. The object weighs 20g. Pot mends used melted lead to fill holes in damaged ceramic vessels, allowing the lead to overlap the broken edges. Some examples are illustrated in Egan 1998, p.241, from contexts dating from 1200-1400.
