A copper alloy possibly Bronze age socketed hammer head. It is in two parts and is incomplete due to old breaks. The main piece has a solid head, 16mm in thickness, and rectangular in shape, surmounted by an integral loop. This has rounded sides and a flattened head and a central, circular perforation. There is a groove outlining a rectangular area surrounding the loop. The sides to front and back of the hammer head are vertical, and there are sloping shoulders leading down to the socketed terminals to left and right.
