A complete copper alloy socketed gouge of Late Bronze Age date, 1200-800 BC. The socketed edge is worn and is circular with a diameter of 16.31mm. Two longitudinal casting seems can be determined. The gouge measures 51.68mm in length, 15.13mm in width at the blade end, and weighs 27.92g.
There concave face is plain, with green corrosion along the sides and round the cutting edge. The patination is dark green.
