Copper alloy radiate of Carausius 286-293 AD. PACATOR ORBIS, probably barbarous. There is no official issue of this type for Carausius from any mint in RIC, although an unmarked specimen is in the Frome Hoard. The coin is oval shaped, 23.4 x 20.4mm and a fragment is missing due to old breaks. Parts of the circumference are worn away due to plough damage. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC. Also in BNJ Coin Register (2011), p. 271, no. 39.
