A copper alloy Early Medieval mount fragment. It is a Viking style moulded animal head facing left, with a straight top to the head and ear, a small oval shaped pellet eye, and a large nostril. The lower part of the nostril/jaw is missing due to old breaks, and there is part of a rivet hole within the broken edge of the neck of the animal. The back of the piece is flat. The mount measures 15.89mm in length, 22.1mm in width, 2.83 mm in thickness and weighs 3.2g.

A Post-Medieval copper alloy flat mount. It is in the shape of an acorn, with the cup decorated with cross-hatching, and a small knop protruding from the centre top. The 'stem' at the base of the cup is split like a small fish-tail, but is apparently complete. On the reverse are two short integral lugs. The mount was probably used as a belt-mount strengthener. It measures 35.65mm in length, 17.32mm in width and weighs 4.31g.

A copper alloy Post-Medieval hooked mount. It is a sheet metal mount with a central perforated disc to take a rivet, surmounted by a foliate terminal of three 'leaves', with a smaller, similar decoration at the opposite end. The latter has a hooked terminal facing forward. There is a single integral hook on the reverse behind the larger terminal. The mount measures 28.67mm in length, 11.37mm in width and weighs 1.98g.

A Post-Medieval lead mount or button. It is oval with moulded relief decoration in the form of a lion's head surrounded by its mane. It measures 21.52mm in length, 18.68mm in width and weighs 15.13g. On the reversethe object is uneven, and has a chanel which is stained with iron corrosion, suggesting the position of a pin. Further iron and lead adhesions are also suggestive of fixings for the mount or button.

It is cross-shaped, with the two side arms and upper part of approximately equal length at 16.7mm, and the descending part being longer, measuring 17.55mm. All four arms expand in width toward their terminals and narrow toward the centre where they join (a cross pattee). The sides are curved slightly forward from the perpendicular. There is incised line decoration outlining the cross, with just a trace of gilding present. The mount measures 44.34mm in length, 41.5mm in width, 2.9mm in thickness and weighs 14.82g. There is a blunt rectangular spike on the underside behind the point. The arrow shape is outlined by an incised groove on the upper surface and there are traces of tinning. The object measures 21.00 mm in surviving length, 6.87mm in width, and is 13.46mm in width across the 'arrow'. It weighs 2.71g.

A copper alloy Late medieval to Post-medieval mount. It is in the form of a lower-case letter 'a' with a wavy-edged descender, having knops to the top and bottom. The mount is D-shaped and has three integral rivets, one behind each knop and one at the centre of the outside curve of the letter. It measures19.67mm in length, 23.89mm in width, 1.95mm in thickness and weighs 2.69g. It may have been used as a belt fitting or strap strengthener.

A cast copper alloy Medieval mount. It has a tapering, triangular shape, with a circular swelling at one terminal which is perforated for a rivet. The opposite terminal may be incomplete but the corrosion product present makes this unclear. The tip curves backwards, and there are transverse ridges on the underside of the tip. The mount measures 33.7mm in length, and 8.46mm in width at its widest, tapering to 3.13mm at the point. It weighs 2.25g and is 2.24mm in thickness. It is probable that this mount was used on book or small casket.

A sheet copper alloy Medieval belt mount or strap-end fragment. It is rectangular and has been folded in half widthways. One terminal has rounded corners, and comes to a small point at the centre. The opposite terminal has a small semi-circular indent at its centre, and the two corners thus formed are each perforated with a rivet hole. One corner is square and the other is rounded. If unfolded, it resembles one side of a composite strap-end, but could have been used as a mount. The object measures 36.6mm (unfolded) in length, 11.8mm in width, and weighs 1.83g.
