a silver penny of Cnut. It is fragmentary, with approximately one third of the rim extant, surrounding the inner circle which shows a voided short cross. North vol.1, no. 790.
Dr Martin Allen has reported that the coin is of the Lewes mint (mint signature [LA]PA), and the moneyer is LE[ofwine] or LE[eofnoth]. EMC 2008.0213.

Silver, penny, Henry I (1100-35), profile/cross fleury type (c.1102-3), Mint: Wilton (Wilts), Moneyer: Sewine, North 1994: p.196 N 858. Confirmed by Martin Allen of the Fitzwilliam Museum, who states that the inscriptions have been obscured by double-striking, but this is identifiable as a coin of the Wilton moneyer Sewine, reading +SEPINE ON PITV. This moneyer is not listed in North, but there is another Henry I type 2 penny of Sewine at the Fitzwilliam Museum, ex Conte (see EMC 1200.0703).

The diameter of this coin was not measured when it was recorded, though from the photos provided it is estimated to have been c. 17.5mm.

A fragment of a silver Medieval annular brooch. It is approximately half of a flat circular brooch frame, incomplete due to old breaks. The frame has an external diameter of 18.18mm, is 3.08mm in width, c.0.6mm in thickness and weighs 0.37g. On one surface there is an engraved inscription in bold capital letters, reading AIDE MEI M (or possibly AEDE MEI M). The letters are based upon the outer edge of the brooch rather than the more normal inner. The reverse is undecorated.
The inscription should probably be read as Help Me M[ary] in French.
