six potsherds, combined weight 21g, reduced ware, black fabric, micaceous with fine grit and occasional large flint temper. Three adjoining sherds form sharp curve suggesting shoulder of urn. Decorated with combed lines in chevron bands of two and four. Largest sherd is 24.39mm in length and 21mm in width. Other sherds of early Anglo-Saxon date have been recorded from nearby in Yaxley, see SF-409D66 and E3C1E4. Many examples of this type of vessel with linear decoration are known from Spong Hill, Norfolk where they were used for cremations.(Hills et al 1994)

single bodysherd of pottery of Early Medieval date, probably fifth-sixth century AD. Fabric is micaceous, with fine quartzite temper, similar to sherds recorded as SF-E3C1E4. Outer surface has single grooved line of decoration, and band of stamped chevrons above sharp carination. The sherd weighs 16.42g. Further sherds of similar date have been recorded from nearby, see SF-409D66.
