A copper alloy Early Medieval pin with incomplete shaft, the lower part of which is missing due to old breaks. The head is globular and flattened on the top. As the metalwork is very worn, it is not possible to be certain whether the pin head was originally faceted.There is no trace of decoration on the head, and there is a narrow, raised transverse collar at the join of head and shaft. A copper alloy pin of probable Anglo-Saxon date. The lower part of the shaft is missing due to old breaks. The pin has a bi-conical head which is decorated with six ring and dot motifs on both hemispheres, and one placed centrally on the top. The shaft is worn and it is not possible to say whether or not the pin had a collar. The shaft is circular in section and measures 2.18mm in diameter, tapering to 1.45mm at its incomplete terminal. An Early Medieval sheet copper alloy hooked tag or dress fastener. It can be classified as Read class A type 2, with two attachment holes. The fastener is sub-circular in shape, and has a U-shaped, recurved sharp hook. There are two small sewing holes close together near the upper edge, and there is engraved decoration on the front face. A line around the edge encloses the two attachment holes, and descends on either side toward the protruding hook. There is also a median line running between them. This is flat and rectangular, with a rounded outside edge and a circular perforation for a rivet cutting through to the body of the mount. The head is polyhedral, a cube with the corners cut off, and there are ring and dot motifs on all twelve faces, and another on the top of the head. There is a raised transverse collar between the top of the shaft and the pin head. The shaft is circular and the tip of the pin is missing due to old breaks. The pin measures 37.23mm in length, 6.79mm in width across the head, and the shaft is 1.8mm in diameter. The pin weighs 2.63g. There are parallels recorded from Suffolk, for example SF-E5B293, SF-35C798 and SF-89BB56.

The foot is triangular and narrows to the curving bow, having four transverse parallel grooves above it, and traces of two more grooves across the broken terminal The triangular foot is decorated with small ring and dot motifs, roughly outlining the foot and with a further motif in the centre. the object measures 24.43mm in surviving length, and 11.88mm in width across the foot. The bow is 5.5mm in width and 3.45mm in thickness. The fragment weighs 2.79g.

A burnt copper alloy fragment which may have formed part of an Early Anglo-Saxon brooch, now unidentifiable. The fragment is a narrow, rectangular plate with a projection on the reverse suggestive of a lug for fixing. The metal is mishappen due to having been burnt. The object measures 20.90mm x 12.92mm and weighs 4.1g. This interpretation is based on evidence previously seen from Yaxley which includes pottery and metalwork of the 5th and 6th centuries AD.
