A copper alloy pin of probable Anglo-Saxon date. The lower part of the shaft is missing due to old breaks. The pin has a bi-conical head which is decorated with six ring and dot motifs on both hemispheres, and one placed centrally on the top. The shaft is worn and it is not possible to say whether or not the pin had a collar. The shaft is circular in section and measures 2.18mm in diameter, tapering to 1.45mm at its incomplete terminal. The fastener is sub-circular in shape, and has a U-shaped, recurved sharp hook. There are two small sewing holes close together near the upper edge, and there is engraved decoration on the front face. There is a raised transverse collar between the top of the shaft and the pin head. The shaft is circular and the tip of the pin is missing due to old breaks. The pin measures 37.23mm in length, 6.79mm in width across the head, and the shaft is 1.8mm in diameter. The pin weighs 2.63g. There are parallels recorded from Suffolk, for example SF-E5B293, SF-35C798 and SF-89BB56.

A burnt copper alloy fragment which may have formed part of an Early Anglo-Saxon brooch, now unidentifiable. The fragment is a narrow, rectangular plate with a projection on the reverse suggestive of a lug for fixing. The metal is mishappen due to having been burnt. The object measures 20.90mm x 12.92mm and weighs 4.1g. This interpretation is based on evidence previously seen from Yaxley which includes pottery and metalwork of the 5th and 6th centuries AD.
