A copper alloy as of Claudius, 43-54 AD, probably a contemporary copy. The legend is illegible, and the edges of the coin are worn. The reverse show Minerva advancing right with shield and spear, with S and C on either side. Coins of this type, Group A, are discussed by Kenyon in Crummy 1987, p.33-4 and Plates 3 and 4. This example shows the head facing right, whilst the Colchester examples are facing left.
