a copper alloy cosmetic mortar of late Iron Age or Roman date. It has a crescent shaped bow and an end loop. It measures 73.27mm in length, 9.46mm in thickness and 11.74mm in width across the centre of the bow. The bow has a central longitudinal groove about 3mm in depth which has a reddish brown deposit, possibly iron, within it. The outer surfaces are smooth and in good condition except for a few green corrosion patches. The end loop is extended to give a bird's head and beak appearance. a copper alloy cosmetic mortar of late Iron Age or Roman date. Its bow is 70.68mm long and 9.2mm wide. The central groove is 5.6mm deep at the centre and is worn. The outer surfaces are also worn and pitted. There is a circular end loop which is incomplete at one terminal.The other terminal is squared off and measures 4mm in width. This type of mortar was used for ginding small amounts of powders and cosmetics. A similar example has been recorded from Thwaite, Suffolk , SF-EA54B2

a copper alloy late Iron Age to early Roman brooch fragment. It consists of a semi-cylindrical spring cover with incomplete edges, and humped upper bow with reed decoration. The fragment is 16.11mm in length and 19mm wide, and the width of the bow is 8.69mm. It weighs 2.60g. It is part of rosette type or Langton Down type brooch.

a late Iron Age copper alloy stud. It is circular, with a diameter of 23.66mm. The upper surface is domed, with a raised line of copper alloy tracing a helichoidal pattern. There are two small circles of copper alloy arranged asymetrically along the line, one being a knop-ended tendril, and the coil terminates in a roundel. It is formed from a continuous strip of metal, with a mostly circular cross section, with the catchplate forming one terminal of the bow, the head formed by coils and the pin terminal missing. The brooch measures 65.84mm in length and 12.95mm in width at the head. The catchplate is 16.66mm in length and 6.42mm in width. a probable late Iron Age mount or stud. It is a flat disc, 17.4mm in diameter, 3.47mm in thickness and weighing 3.8g. The upper surface is decorated with an asymetric pattern, including circles and a pelta shape, creating cells which would have been enamelled. The underside is plain and abraided. There is no sign of how this mount would have been attached, and no indication of solder. It is possible it may have been glued in some way. A copper-alloy Late Iron Age to Roman end-looped cosmetic mortar dating to the 1st to 2nd century AD. It is complete, with one terminal curved over into a semi-circular handle, with signs of wear on the underside. The opposite terminal is collared with a spherical knob, which may have phallic associations. The overall length is 66.17mm. The bow is 47.65mm long and 12.59mm wide, 6mm thick, and . a copper alloy Iron Age bow brooch fragment. It is the bow only, which is arched and flat-backed. The bow is an oval shape, with moulded decoration outlining the edges, and a single central longitudinal ridge . Both terminals are incomplete, due to old breaks. The bow measures 28.78mm in length and is 10.73mm maximum width in the centre, tapering to 2.25 and 3.2mm at the terminals. It weighs 7.29g. Similar brooches are illustrated in Hull and Hawkes 1987, pl.323,such as nos 2923, 7376 and 2931. They are part of the Type 1B classification, and date to the fourth century BC.

a copper alloy Roman bow brooch, Colchester one-piece type. It is incomplete, with spring, pin and catchplate missing. It has short flat wings, 8.42mm wide, with an incomplete hook coming from the body and bent back toward the bow. The bow has a round front and faceted back, and tapers to a point. The brooch measures 48.18mm in length and weighs 3.39g. A similar,though complete, example is illustrated from Hacheston(Blagg et al 2004, no.63)dated to the early part of the first century AD.

a fragment of a copper alloy terret ring from a harness fitting.It is probably a knobbed terret which has been burnt and distorted, Late Iron Age in date. The fragment has part of the bar surviving which is circular in section and one circumferencial knob separates this from a fragment of the loop which is flatter and has a rectangular section. The fragment measures 14.45mm in surviving width and 15.98mm in surviving length. It weighs 5.42g.
