Part of a silver probable coin. It is roughly semi-circular, approximating to a half-penny, but with an irregular edge and horizontal clipping. It measures 17.85mm by 10.24mm and weighs 0.60g. It is illegible and lacks an inscription and there is some corrosion on both sides. It is not possible to identify to a particular reign, but it most closely ressembles an irregular silver half penny of Stephen or Henry II. (Seaby no. 1281 and following). It is worth noting that coins from East Anglia showing Stephen's head defaced are believed to have been issued during the Interdict of 1148.
