A copper alloy Roman snake bracelet fragment. It is incomplete due to old breaks and consists of the band, which is bent out of shape and a snake's head terminal. The latter is flattened and oval, 2.74mm in width and 15.64mm in length. The surface of the metal is very worn, and some decorative elements exist upon the head but are difficult to determine, beyond the two eyes and tongue closest to the tip of the terminal. A cas copper alloy Roman bow brooch fragment, Colchester derivative type. 43-100 AD. It consists of the wings and upper bow only, the coil, pin and catch-plate are missing. The wings are shallow and not quite semi-cylindrical, and are decorated on the outside with several bands of transverse mouldings. The bow has a central longitudinal panel of moulding and is incomplete at the foot because of old breaks. The reverse side of the bow has a hollow channel. The brooch fragment measures 28.23mm in surviving length and is 29.19mm in width across the wings. It weighs 8.05g.
