A copper alloy Medieval book clasp of Howsam type A.1.2, with a hinged plate and loop. The plate is formed from folded sheet metal and is rectangular, tapering from its open terminal, and recessed to fit the arms at the cast terminal, to which it is attached by a separate copper-alloy pin, thus forming a hinge. The terminal moves freely on this pin through approximately 180 degrees.

A copper alloy Medieval stud. It is shield-shaped, with a flat top, and rounded corners at the base and a slight knop at the centre. There are traces of armorial decoration, (a bend cotised between six lions rampant) with a band from top left to bottom right, and a suggestion of the three lions to either side. This device is part of the armory of the de Bohun, Earls of Hereford and Essex. The metalwork is worn and corroded which obscures the detail. A copper alloy late Medieval to early Post-Medieval barrel tap. It is complete except for the key, the top of which is missing due to old breaks. The tap has a downturned spout which is rectangular in section and the sides of which show copious tool-marking. This is attached to a polygonal spiggot 30.8mm in length, which has a flat base, and is sealed by a fixed key, circular in section with a drum-shaped base that fits into the spiggot. A copper alloy Medieval scabbard chape fragment. It is incomplete due to old breaks, and there are two non-joining pieces. They form part of the rim of an oval-shaped chape which has a band 9mm in width with a central transverse rib U-shaped in section and having a flat back. Below this is an openwork decoration of running fleur de lis, each linked to the next by a semi-circular curved strip. There are three of these on the larger piece. A Post-Medieval cloth seal. It is a two-disc cloth seal, with the two discs connected by a loop. The rivet bears a cruciform device, set to one side, with a possible pellet in one angle. On the reverse of the second disc there are three parallel scored lines with one line crossing them at right angles, and aslo two short parallel lines to one side. The cloth seal disc measures 15.71m in diameter, and 18.76mm in overal length including the loop. It weighs 6.96g.

A copper alloy Medieval buckle frame and plate. The frame is oval, and is expanded with moulded decoration to form a pin rest at the cenre of the outside edge. The bar is narrowed and offset, and their are square knops to top and bottom. The knops and the pin-rest are decorated with incised lines on their upper surfaces. The plate is a triangular shape and is recessed to fit the bar, with a pin hole at the centre. The pin is in situ and moves freely on the bar. A Medieval cast copper alloy coin weight, fleur de lis and crown type. It is a uniface weight, with a crown over fleur de lis motif in the centre of the field within an inner circle. There is also a circumferential circle. A small indent at the centre of the weight results from marking the flan when turned to the correct size. This type of weight was made according to an Act of Parliament of 1421 (Withers, p34), and went out of production circa 1471.
The weight measures 11.63mm in diameter, 2.11mm in thickness and weighs 1.33g.

A Late Medieval cast copper alloy purse frame fragment. It is incomplete due to old breaks, and is a short length of frame which is curved, and has a V-shaped section. There is incised line decoration in the form of cross- hatching on the outside edge, and a single rivet hole, for attachment to a purse, on the inside edge. Tool marks can be determiend along the inside edge. The purse frame fragment measures 40.79mm in length, 7.07mm in width, and weighs 8.63g. A similar frame fragment from medieval Norwich can be seen in Margeson 1993, no.290.
